The Bible is a large influence in our culture. From literary references and common idioms to religion and politics. It’s interesting to look at the Bible from many perspectives. Over the years I’ve learned a fair bit about the Bible and different religions.
On this page I want to focus on the Bible divorced from it’s religious and political implications. Here I want to look it from a cultural and historical perspective. This has been a hobby of mine for years, and I thought I’d get my notes together so it’s easier for me to refind information, and to share that information with others.
At present I am writing up my evaluations of common or interesting Bible translations. After that I will discuss what I have learned about the translation process.
